Willian Acedo Cantón

       
           

William started his professional activities in the coffee industry in 1962.  In 1987 he was trained in the identification and classification of coffee defects according to the New York Coffee Exchange and was accredited as a coffee cupper and grader.  He was brought to Deli Café's attention in late 2001 while doing consulting work in the areas of production monitoring, quality control and inventory cupping.  Deli Café brought William onto the team full-time in 2003 to take charge of the quality control department.

     
   
Luis Barahona Alvarado

Luis started his career in the coffee industry in 1973 and since then has accumulated a vast amount of experience in the field.

In 1994 he joined Deli Café Panama as Quality Director, a position that he kept for five years.  Upon his return to Costa Rica, he joined the Grupo Cafetalero El Labrador where he presently works in the Cupping Department.

     
Pablo Rojas Rodríguez

Pablo entered the labor market for the first time in 2002 working for the Candra Dry Coffee Mill.

In 2005, he became part of the Deli Café team as a member of the quality control department, an area where he has developed an important level of expertise. In recent years he has been certified as “Q Grader Cupper” and “Star Cupper” by the Specialty Coffee Association of Costa Rica. He has undertaken courses to become a coffee barista and has followed cupping training with an emphasis on coffee roasting at the Costa Rican Coffee Institute.

Pablo has studies in the area of advertising and is presently undertaking English classes at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica.

 
 
 
César Esquivel Mora

Raised in the shade of a coffee shrub, Cesar, the son of a coffee grower is currently the manager for one of the coffee mills. He was born in the area of San Vito de Coto Brus where he pursued studies leading to a diploma in Agronomy. He started working for the Costa Rican Institute of Coffee where he worked for 8 years as a specialized technician in coffee production. In this capacity, he provided technical support to the coffee growers in the area of Coto Brus.

He started with Deli Café in 2006, hired to monitor and control the quality of coffees being exported to the southern part of Costa Rica and Panama.  He is constantly in the search for new providers and cupping profiles to satisfy our most demanding customers around the world.
He has the title of Q Cupper granted by CQI.
