Grace is the president of three of the companies that make up El Grupo Cafetalero El Labrador, i.e. Deli Café S.A., Cafetalera Lomas al Rio and Nature´s Best Coffe, S.A.
In 1993, she founded Deli Café, a coffee exporting company internationally known for providing the best coffees of Central America. She is also the owner of Cafetalera Lomas al Rio, a coffee mill whose coffees have repeatedly garnered international acclaim and awards.
In order to access new markets, in 2006 Grace founded Nature´s Best Coffee, S.A., an exporting company of a wide variety of coffee grades. Through Nature's Best, she presently manages La Florencia, a coffee mill located in Segovia, Nicaragua.
In 2008, she created the Grupo Cafetalero El Labrador in order to homogenize policies and practices within the consortium. As a result of these actions, she was able to achieve world class performance and high standards of operation in the area of customer service.
With an experience of over 20 years in the coffee business, Grace has been a member of the board of directors at the Costa Rican Institute of Coffee (ICAFE), she is a founder member of the Costa Rican Association of Specialty Coffees of Costa Rica (SCACR), and was the president of the Asociación Semana Internacional del Café - SINTERCAFE.
She is currently acting as the Director for the International Women’s in Coffee Alliance (IWCA) and is the president of the Alianza Internacional de Mujeres en Costa Rica (AMCCR).
She was born and raised in Costa Rica and is highly respected for being a staunch supporter of the coffee growers and the overall well being of the coffee industry. Grace holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. |
